SUMMER

It’s never too early to talk summer fashion in Miami… And I’ll be looking for some easy breezy fashion this season!

During the summer season, there are a few pieces I like to avoid especially  – jeans, jackets, and anything that isn’t light and airy. When I find a piece that add a pop of style but still keeps me cool, it’s usually hard for me to resist., and what catches my attention even more are one of a kind, hand made pieces for a good cause. That’s why I’m here to tell you about Kapara Designs.

Kapara Designs scarfs are hand-printed by artisans in Bagru, India using a hand blocking printing method.  Each design is made out of a soft, light blend of Indian silk and cotton fabric hand-carved into wooden blocks. They believe that the items we own should, “…not only be beautiful, but also meaningful,” which is why they stress the importance of paying each craftsman a fair wage for their work.

They offer different prints, styles, and are perfect addition to your closet this season! How will you be styling yours?

In my eyes, there are 3 types of Miami people:

  1. Those who LOVE the beach and go all year-round.
  2. Those who LIKE the beach and only go from May – July.
  3. Those who DISLIKE the beach and blame it on the sand.

Which one do you think I am? Take a guess?

Well, did you know that the official first day of Summer this year is Friday, June 21?  However, we all know that most Miami folks start going to the beach waaaaay before, which can be both awesome and pretty annoying. Even more so in the month of May…

Miguel and I went to the beach last weekend and we literally spent an hour and a half looking for parking. ( And yes I’m a Miami girl, I say literally! :))

So, in case you’re headed to the beach this weekend or happen to be planning a beach getaway; here are a few Summer essentials each under $50.

PS: If you’re headed to Miami Beach and want to find a good parking spot, be sure to arrive early and before the crazy mid-day crowds. If not, just count on spending $20+.

PSS: I SWEAR by wearing sunblock and my Acai Kiehls Moisturizer! I’ve been wearing it daily for years!

Happy Friday!
